A Local Inter-Agency (LIAC) meeting was conducted on 5 October 2018 to discuss preparations for the awarding. The meeting was presided over by Mayor Igmedio “Jun” Ponferrada and attended by the officials of LGU Basey, MSWDO-Basey, NEDA VIII, Samar II Electric Cooperative (SAMELCO), Basey Water District, the contractor, Cavite Ideal International Construction and Development Corporation (CAVDEAL), and NHA VIII.
During the meeting, it was agreed that the beneficiaries from Sitio Bog-ho, terminal and public market settlers would be given priority. Availability of water and electricity supply in the resettlement areas, and the construction of the drainage outfall in Basey Pointe Peak were also tackled in the meeting.
Updates on utilities were also given during the meeting. LWUA already conducted their survey and evaluation for possible water source in the area, however, no concrete plans have been formulated yet. Installation of the individual power lines will start in the second week of October 2018.

Meanwhile, the drainage outfall within Pointe Peak has been completed. However, the one outside the resettlement area is still to be constructed. The Committee agreed to formally request DPWH to fund the project.
