The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), for the second time, awarded the National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office (NRO) VIII as Outstanding Partner for Report on Regional Economic Developments in the Philippines.

The 2017 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for BSP Stakeholders was held on August 22, 2017 at Multi-Purpose Hall, BSP Tacloban Branch, Tacloban City. The same award was earned last year, having consistently supported BSP by way of providing an adequate, relevant and timely information for its undertakings.

On behalf of the NRO VIII Regional Director Atty. Bonifacio G. Uy, OIC-Assistant Regional Director Meylene C. Rosales received the accolade, which was handed over by Monetary Board Member Peter B. Favila.

Other awardees in Eastern Visayas are: RL Appliance, Inc. for the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms, Leyte Home Depot, Inc. among Small Firms in the Region; Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office VIII for the Outstanding Regional Partner for New Design Series Demonetization; Bank of the Philippine Islands for the Outstanding Regional Partner for Clean Note Policy; and the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region VIII for the Outstanding Regional Partner for the Public Information Campaign.

The two consecutive awards bagged by NRO VIII affirm the office’s sustained support to the BSP in its statistical undertakings, information needs and advocacy programs.
