NEDA Regional Office VIII was conferred with the Bronze Award under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) during a small ceremony on 09 November 2020 at the NEDA Regional Office VIII, Palo, Leyte.

NEDA VIII is one of only three agencies in the region given the Bronze Award for achieving Certification Level II in each of the four core human resource areas: Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Learning and Development; Performance Management; and Rewards and Recognition.

This means that the office has a set of defined and documented standards of procedure (SOPs) established for each of the four core human resource areas.

In 2017, NEDA VIII was also awarded the PRIME-HRM Level II in all four core human resource areas.
