The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) VIII conducted a two-day training on Completed Staff Work (CSW), and Issue Paper and Resolution Writing on 30-31 August 2017 at the Felipina Hall, NRO VIII, Palo, Leyte.

The training was participated in by all NRO VIII personnel with Regional Director Milagros A. Rimando of NRO CAR, an expert on CSW and technical writing, as the resource person.

The training was intended to develop and improve NRO VIII’s delivery of its technical support and advisory services to the Regional Development Council (RDC) VIII and its committees.

NRO VIII RD Bonifacio G. Uy, in his opening message, said that the training is very timely and relevant, considering that there are many newly hired staff in the NRO.

The training included lectures on the following topics: 1) CSW Concept and Process, and Planning Checklist; 2) Issue Paper Preparation; 3) Resolution Preparation; and 4) CSW in Managing the Decision Maker.

Mini workshops were conducted where participants were able to appreciate the concept and process of CSW, and learn its application in writing issue papers and resolutions.

OIC-ARD Meylene C. Rosales, in her closing message, said that the staff not just learned from but also enjoyed the training. OIC-ARD Rosales assured RD Rimando that all the learnings in the training will be applied and practiced by the Office.
